About the OLBC: Formally known as the Black Elected Democrats of Ohio (BEDO), the Ohio Legislative Black Caucus (OLBC) was founded in 1967. The purpose for establishing the organization was to recognize and address the hopes, aspirations and needs of African Americans in Ohio. The organization continues to ensure equality for all citizens by promoting, fostering and sponsoring educational, civic and political initiatives.
Job Description: The Executive Director is responsible for developing, refining, and executing existing and new finance plans, coordinating fundraising events, call time, building and maintaining strategic relationships, updating finance plan, and doing finance tasks from state, local, and national donors through multiple channels and mediums for the 2010 election as well as assist with policy research and tracks legislation sponsored by or of interest to OLBC. This position will involve significant interaction with federal, state, and local government agencies.
The Executive Director develops and oversees the 2010 strategic blueprint, the budget, and serves as a key implementer of the OLBC’s various programs and activities. OLBC desires a person who is a true catalyst in starting up programs and making change and progress happen quickly.
