For more than 30 years, Larry Price has worked at the community and state level on legislative and public procedures, urban community relations, organizational mediation, and domestic public policy.
Price represented Columbus in the 26th District in the Ohio House where he fought to restore $2.9 billion in prior cuts to head start, daycare, senior citizens and local governments. He also founded the Urban Crime Advisory Commission in Columbus to explore ways to eradicate crime from Columbus neighborhoods.
His long public service career includes working as Message Clerk and Sergeant at Arms in the Ohio Senate, as a staff assistant to former U.S. Rep. Bob Shamansky, and special assistant to the Columbus City Mayor.
Price founded L. Price & Associates, a consultation company providing public relations, governmental affairs, public policy and community relations services to private, public, and faith-based organizations in Central Ohio. He helped to write workforce inclusion policies for The Ohio State University and Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
Price also has served on the boards of numerous organizations, including the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, Boy Scouts of America, CMACO, the Columbus Urban League, NAACP – State of Ohio, the State Chiropractic Board, Mt. Olivet Christian Academy, the Africentric Personal Development Shop and the Heritage Day Health Centers.
A native of Cleveland, Price received a B.A. in journalism from The Ohio State University.
